  • I worked in the ER department(s) in the hospital. Staff not friendly at all. Schedule was a nightmare for a nightshifter. Never any equipment available. Very dark facility like I felt as if I walked into a horror movie. Travelers/staff ratio sad. There is a reason Soo many travelers are here at general. 05/26/2019
  • Housing was approximately 15 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was 3207 lockman Blvd. Housing was located in city of St Albans. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4.
  • I worked in the NSICU department(s) in the hospital. Nice overall little city. Plenty of outdoors things to see and do. CAMC General is in the "not so great" part of town, but I personally never have had an issues. 01/06/2018
  • Housing was approximately 6 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was private. Housing was located in city of Charleston. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. I found my own housing.
  • I worked in the med_surg telemetry department(s) in the hospital. Nursing and cultural processes are outdated. Smoking is just now banned from campus! Patients are permitted to go outside, with IV access, to smoke! Lots of LPNs to fill RN shortage. Aides are NOT certified! Hired off the street frequently! Huge education gap. But friendly people, glad to have the help. Use Sorian, going to Cerner soon. Lots of residents, teaching hospital. Monstrous drug problem in the area, see many complications from it, as well as ODs. Prescription abuse rampant. Behind the times several years, ignorance is bliss. 02/23/2016
