  • I worked in the CCU department(s) in the hospital. Covid has been hard on everybody at every hospital. Brunswick campus had to hire so many travelers that we out number the full time staff. Staff has been wonderful to work with. My only complaints would be with equipment/technology and RTs needing more education. The city is located between Savannah GA and Jacksonville Fl. Lots to do between those two sites. 12/02/2020
  • Housing was approximately 15 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was home. Housing was located in city of Brunswick. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5.
  • I worked in the ICU/CTU department(s) in the hospital. ICU/CTU- use lots of float pool so it was hard to get to know people that worked in your area. Doctors were nice to staff. Did not float out of CTU/ICU but other travelers have a few times (does not happen frequently). Area is going through some director changes but staff is long term with many sticking it out 20-30 years. Good mix of older and younger nurses as well as experienced and newer nurses. 2:1 ratios, fresh hearts 1:1, CVVHD and OD 1:1 if possible. Uses sitters appropriately. All in all, easy assignment with fair average workload. Travelers are usually given lower acuity patients. Cape Girardeau is halfway between St Louis and Memphis, about 2 hours each way for entertainment. Certainly not a hotspot here for clubbing or culture but several lakes, many great state parks, hiking trails and outdoor/nature activities. 09/09/2016
  • Housing was approximately 5 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was RV. Housing was located in city of Cape Girardeau. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. College town- lots of mediocre apts with short term leases.
  • I worked in the ER department(s) in the hospital. The ER staff are all miserable. Half of the staff is travelers but everyone is friendly. Some of the doctors are forced to come work there and it's blatantly obvious they are miserable too. The area has a beach but that's the only good thing. 12/10/2015
  • Housing was approximately 10 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Stipend. Housing was located in city of Brunswick . On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 3. ..
