  • I worked in the CVICU department(s) in the hospital. While the staff, nursing and physicians, are very friendly and great help, the hospital itself is kinda ghetto. Some of the surgeons are old school in their approach to things, hearts are in the ICU for 3-4 days easily. It's happened multiple times that we have to go searching through other areas for Propofol and precedex because pharmacy isn't in house all night. There is also no phlebotomist in house, which in the ICU isn't bad since 98%have some sort of line to draw off of, but on the floor the techs have to do it. When you ask why something is done a certain way the response is always "because that's the way we've always done it". There's not much in the way of best practice being put into use. The physical hospital itself is pretty outdated. Very few supplies are actually kept in the room which takes some getting used to! 05/10/2016
  • Housing was approximately 1 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Zazu Pannee. Housing was located in city of Phoenix. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. We had issues with a neighbors barking dog, but it ended up being resolved after about a month. Overall decent place to stay.
