  • I worked in the RN department(s) in the hospital. Overall good hospital with safe nurse:pt ratios. Majority of staff friendly and helpful. Hospital charting program: Epic. Hospital medications: omnicell. Be sure to get guaranteed hours written into your contract. Hospital census is very up and down. If ICU-you will float a lot so be prepared. Med/surg and tele do not float as much. Hospital may make you be a sitter. Area surrounding has a lot of recreational stuff. This is western Colorado so expect desert. Good town for families but terrible food. Closest biggest city (Denver) is 4 hr away. 10/02/2016
