  • I worked in the ED department(s) in the hospital. The ER is on something like its 12th director in 9 years. Staff morale is in the toilet and travelers are treated very poorly. I was told, to my face, "you're just a fu@$ing traveler!" Staff nurses are hired on and within weeks are looking for another job. Intake is chaos with doctors randomly pulling patients from the lobby and sitting them anywhere they can find without letting a RN know. Nurses who don't understand the ESI triage are being placed in triage. The overall acuity is high. They have equipment that nobody knows how to use. Overall this was just a horrendous experience and I've traveled within the San Antonio Methodist Healthcare System for two years. This is the only place I've ever worked where the director, nurse managers and charge nurses verbally threaten nurses with losing their license. 05/20/2016
  • Housing was approximately 15 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Private. Housing was located in city of Helotes. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 1. I found housing in a guest house on a private estate. San Antonio has tons of housing choices at every price point.
