  • I worked in the PCU/Tele PCU department(s) in the hospital. I was hired to work in the PCU where my ratio was supposed to be 3-4:1 but 5 to one if they were despite. I never once worked on the actual PCU unit, my ratio was ALWAYS 4:1 at least most of the time 5:1, not because they didn't have the staff but they would call off or cancel staff to save money but make themselves short. Most of the day travelers were called off once a pay period because that is what was allowed in our contract. The workload is dangerous and unsafe. Rarely a tech and when there is they are given 20+ pts. I would never recommend this hospital to anyone. 07/01/2016
  • Housing was approximately 10 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Air B&B housing. Housing was located in city of Flagler Beach. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. The condo we rented on the beach was amazing!!! It was well worth the money. We were paying less for a two bedroom two bath condo that you could see the ocean from our bedroom than the poor people that took company housing that was so gross they lived the entire stay in hotels... there was 12 travelers put up in hotels because housing was such a problem.
  • I worked in the ICU department(s) in the hospital. I was hired as an ICU traveler, I was told we would have typically 2 patients, occasionally 3 when in dire situations. I always have either 3 ICU patients, or more commonly I am given 4 patients downgraded to PCU level with no CNA. We have not has a CNA one shift in the ICU throughout my entire assignment and I am near my last week. Also daily tasks just seem to be 10 steps longer because things aren't where they need to be, the pyxis never has the keds you need stocked, we have to roll around computers on wheels because there aren't computers in each room, and there aren't enough for everyone so you have to go searching. It just seems like working extra hard all the time and every traveler who is there says it is one of the hardest assignments they have ever taken. Nice people but I am definitely looking forward to my final day. Wish them luck 06/07/2016
