  • I worked in the Telemetry department(s) in the hospital. This facility doesn’t have the best reputation, and it’s clear to see why. There is no accountability with staff. ED sends up soiled patients, CNAs are lazy and can’t even do blood sugars. The patient turnover rate is extremely high. Had 2 nurse managers in the last 6 months. Grossly understaffed. No charge at night most of the time. Old/broken equipment. Mid shift floating. It’s terribly unsafe and filthy. Avoid. 12/08/2020
  • Housing was approximately 7 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Airbnb. Housing was located in city of West Seattle . On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4.
  • I worked in the PCU department(s) in the hospital. Holmes is a part of Health First. 4 hospitals make up Health First. I was told I had to travel to 4 hospitals on 1st day. 1 hospital was 1hr from housing. Floated to 3 different unuts of 3 hospitals in one week. My work schedule was bad. Was schedule MWF for 1 week than MWSat next week for 2 months. I work nights so my sleep was affected. Would not recommend Holmes/Health First to travellers. 02/24/2018
  • Housing was approximately 8 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Other. Housing was located in city of Palm bay. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. Found own housing. Loved it.
  • I worked in the float department(s) in the hospital. Second time here worked on float pool at all 4 of there hospitals and there have been many changes in the last 5 years. new administration is out of touch with unit staff. patient to nurse ratio's keep rising to the point where safety to patients and staff are questionable. They keep saying that they are working on it but when you talk to staff nurses they state that they have been hearing that for the last couple of years. management turn over on individual units is frequent. staff moral is pretty low and employees feel stuck as their options are limited in this area. Some hospitals and units are run better and have better ratio's then others even though they are the same accuity PCU=PCU. Some units are more open to travelers and others would rather not have them there at all thinking we are stealing there hours for over time vs. preventing them from being short staffed. not sure if I will return after this contract is up 05/01/2017
  • Housing was approximately 10 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was 755 badger dr ne. Housing was located in city of palm bay. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 3. housing was adequate in a central location. some areas were great however you could travel a streets over and have a completely different vibe and safety. worse parts nothing really to do in immediate area and traffic was horrible for the size of the town. for pretty much any entertainment you had to travel an hour to orlando or other larger areas. over all ok area not sure I would come back to same area
  • I worked in the ED department(s) in the hospital. Management will watch you drown with multiple high acuity patients and tell you if your co-workers like you they will help you. One supervisor even walked through the department while volume was at its peak saying loudly to all staff and in ear shot of patients "" I am not signing any no lunch forms so all of you better have a plan for lunch" . Horrible situation and management looks out for management. No way I'll return there 02/07/2014
