  • I worked in the Emergency department(s) in the hospital. The hospital orientation was disorganized, and we found ourselves waiting around for the speakers a lot. You have lots on line modules that must be completed. The hospital is run by EMS, period! Nurses are nothing there. Some of the staff, especially night shift, are very welcoming and friendly. They include you in on everything. The entire hospital is very collaborative on nights. There is a clear delineation between day shift staff and night shift staff. The doctors don't come out of the rooms and even lay eyes on the patients at night. It's critical access, so it was hard going there from a level 2. There are no services or anyone to do anything on nights! The manager is not a working nurse manager. She puts the schedule out days before the current expires. It is however nice to have nights where you can watch movies, and make good money. But things can and do get crazy! 10/28/2016
  • Housing was approximately 0.5 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Private. Housing was located in city of Winnemucca. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 1. We rented a small house located 0.5 miles from HGH. it wa s very convenient to everything in town. There is only one realty company in town, Sonoma Property. They are very disorganized, and their maintenance man is a whole different story. They suck!! The house was uninhabitable when we moved in!
