  • I worked in the TELE department(s) in the hospital. • I worked in the Tele department(s) in the hospital. Not a nice area. Rough patient population. A lot of homeless and majority Spanish speaking patients. I will say staff was very welcoming, but there are a lot of Filipino staff and they are constantly speaking there language over top of you, break room and all. The break room is a joke - no sink and only 6 chairs for a large floor. They do not even have wet wipes for cleaning patients. Very cheap. They still do some paper charting and it is confusing as to what is located in EMR or chart. You do a lot of the doctors work - input orders, complete med rec, etc. Doctors rude to me on MULTIPLE occasions. Only two CNAs at night, but they are helpful. Some charge nurses great, some well, you know. A LOT of discharges are done at night. Their charting system is a dinosaur! - CPSI. But, very easy to learn, just lots of clicking. The computers are on wheels and require a battery change multiple times per shift. Phlebotomist 24/7! No doctors located in hospital at night (except ED). Must call on-call and expect to get yelled at. The staffing office personnel are phenomenal and extremely helpful. 06/14/2017
