  • I worked in the NSICU department(s) in the hospital. Little Rock is a neat area for foodies and entertainment. However, the housing can be pricey in safer areas. There is a reason this hospital pays better than the rest of the southern states. It is no walk in the park. There are a lot of travelers in this hospital. The administration doesn't pay staff very well at all, and Doc's can be hard to deal with on the unit I was on specifically. Which makes for burned out perm staff. I floated to other ICU's and had no problem with docs there. The only complaint I have is that the other ICU's are dirty and old feeling. Understocked, small, busy, but you can always find help. The CVICU was the best one I worked on as far as newness etc. Hope this helps someone. I extended here a few times and am counting down the day until I leave now. 9 Mo will have done me in. 3 Mo is doable. 02/24/2018
