  • I worked in the pacu/phase 2 department(s) in the hospital. They will hire you for PACU but you will never work down there. You will more than likely be working in a phase 2/infusion area. The communication at the facility itself is terrible. There were several miscommunications during my orientation week. I was told to go to Oakland for computer training for 2 days. The second day I didn't need to go over there. It was never brought up while I was there and I even commented before leaving the first day that I would see them the following day. I didn't get computer access for over 2 weeks and didn't have Pyxis access for over 3 weeks. The hospital is outdated, not supplied well, and majority of the nurses are not nice. You are told to clock out if you're going to have OT but they want you to finish charting, caring for patients off the clock!!! San Francisco itself is full of culture and great restaurants. The weather is nice (60's-low 70's). I do not recommend bringing your car. There are a ton of break-ins, no parking, or extremely expensive parking. The bart/muni are great just get a clipper card. You can uber pool/lyft line as well. You need to avoid the tenderloin area and certain parts of the mission. There is high homeless population throughout the city but the tourist areas seem to be relatively clean. There is open drug use on the streets (don't be alarmed, nobody else is). 07/23/2018
  • Housing was approximately 2 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was airbnb. Housing was located in city of san francisco. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. I would recommend doing airbnb and looking at staying out of the city unless you're willing to pay a lot of money. Caltrain, and bart are great if you're staying out of the city. Just make sure you get a clipper card.
