  • I worked in the Emergency department(s) in the hospital. Very short staffed. You will have a hard time finding someone (including a charge nurse) that can help you regarding how to chart things that are done infrequently (i.e. blood admin) or co-sign with you. Things are done very behind your back and people will complain straight to the director instead of talking to you first if they don't like what you're doing. Most of night shift very friendly, day shift is okay. Techs are NOT paramedics or EMTs, and you have some great ones and some exceptionally lazy ones that will give you attitude any time you ask them to do something. ER Director is very nice (no manager currently). Some charge RNs were great, some had no business being charge. Not the worst place, but I wouldn't come back. Parkersburg itself is not a safe area (I lived 30+ minutes away) due to high poverty rates and drug/alcohol addiction. 07/09/2019
  • Housing was approximately N/A mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was N/A. Housing was located in city of N/A. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. Do not stay in Parkersburg. There are several hotel options within an hour and small/safe towns such as Marietta, Logan, Athens OH. Do your research.
  • I worked in the Telemetry department(s) in the hospital. Overall hospital was psych based. 11/26/2018
  • Housing was approximately 30 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Air bnb. Housing was located in city of Dorchester. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 1. I had a horrible experience with air bnb. The complex literally wouldn’t fix anything that was broken for weeks!
