  • I worked in the OR department(s) in the hospital. 15 ORs, 3 procedure rooms and 1 cysto suite. 4 days of hospital orientation that was geared towards travelers (which was great) and then one week of orientation in The OR.OR is broken into groups...ortho, neuro, ENT, then everything else falls under general. They do not do hearts here. No call for travelers while I was there. Staff morale, like everywhere else, is not the greatest. They have their fair share of staff turnovers. All the clinical leaders are really great/helpful, charge nurse was great. Ppl had issues with the OR manager but I personally never did. She was always nice to me. Everyone seemed to be really welcoming to travelers. Seem to have a lot of experience with having them in the OR. They had quite a few ST and RN travelers when i started and a few started after I got there. All in all, it was a good place to work. Lots of traffic around raleigh and takes a bit to get home if u leave at 5. Lots to do in the area though, especially if u centure over to chapel hill and Durham. 05/19/2019
  • Housing was approximately 6 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Edwards Mill townehomes and apartments . Housing was located in city of Raleigh. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. Found my own housing. This place was the cheapest vs extended stays and homeaway type sites. Their upcharge for a 3 month lease was the cheaspest i have ever seen. Lots of amenities. Walls thin and could hear loud neighbors but other than that, its a good place.
