  • I worked in the ER department(s) in the hospital. I love this area. The doctors are really nice in general, and so were the nurses and the new nursing director. Overall I had a very good experience and extended. what they are lacking is ancillary support. The nurse to patient ratio is great, but there are no Techs, no transporters. nurses transport all radiology patients to and from, walk over labs because the tube system is always down. Lots of physical work, especially lifting patients, here due to the lack of ancillary staff. 05/08/2018
  • Housing was approximately 7 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Indian creek apartments. Housing was located in city of Redwood shores. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5.
  • I worked in the Cardiac Surveillance Unit department(s) in the hospital. This unit tends to dump on travelers. Few regular staff are nice and friendly. Unit is lacking in teamwork. Every weekend, I floated to SNF. Unit manager scheduled me working every single weekend for 2 months. The hospital is in a safe area though. There aren't a lot of good dining places in San Carlos except my favorite restaurant, Aya Sushi, located on Holly Street. If you go 20 min. south to Palo Alto, there are better dining places there. Also, the city is only 25 min. away. 09/11/2006
  • Housing was approximately 1 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was home. Housing was located in city of San Carlos. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. I took the housing stipend, so I cannot give any details about company offered housing.
