  • I worked in the L&D department(s) in the hospital. Awesome place to work! The people are so friendly and helpful! First week I worked there they had my back in triage when a patient came in FHT down...admit to OR to baby in 12 minutes! Thanks when I knew they didn't care I was a traveler. They knew I was there to help them and they helped me like I was one of their own. I've had 2 contracts there, one I extended 4 times. I'd go back again. Only drawbacks are it's LDRP so plan on mom/baby some days. 06/17/2017
  • Housing was approximately 5 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Hotel. Housing was located in city of Columbus. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5.
  • I worked in the surgery department(s) in the hospital. No concept of policy and procedure. Some surgeons operated without washing their hands, gown in or gloving. PAs were allowed to operate without surgeons. Food and drinks were brought into ORs. The nurse manager, who was also a traveler who was a stickler for AORN standards was fired because she was trying to get staff and surgeons to adhere to standards. Very unsafe environment. 3 travelers had contracts cancelled in one day. 11/23/2014
  • Housing was approximately .5 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Bradford point. Housing was located in city of augusta. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. It was a nice place, nothing special.
  • I worked in the surgery department(s) in the hospital. Physicians rule at this hospital. They have no knowledge of policy and procedure and even less inclination to follow p&p. PA'S actually operate on patients. Was in a case where PA started a lap chole. When I told him that we needed to wait for surgeon, he to me that he was credentialed to perform surgery. Only surgeons are credentialed to perform surgery. The surgeons and PA'S brought drinks into the OR in spite of objections of nursing staff. Surgeons and PA'S would not wash hands per policy and procedure. They would answer phone during case, after removing glove, then put on another glove and resume surgery. I would strongly guy advise all travelers to avoid this institution. I have been a nurse for 34 years and have never been concerned about my license. This is a license threatening facility. 10/07/2014

  • I worked in the 3W department(s) in the hospital. While the hospital is in change, overall it was a good work experience. The staff and manager of 3W were awesome. It took only a short time to feel welcome. I would have no problem working there again. 11/06/2006
