  • I worked in the OR department(s) in the hospital. The staff was great. Doctors nice. Md is there at positioning and propping its GREAT!!! Tons of travelers. The 1030am to 9pm staff is the BEST i miss them lots. They encourage you to expand on your skills. I learned to scrub new things. Its never stale. Awesome crew. 20min from d.c. i lived in Arlington which is crazy expensive. Doesn't snow too much in winter. 09/11/2018
  • Housing was approximately 2 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Airbnb. Housing was located in city of Arlington. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 3. The location was great but SUPERRRR expensive. Took alot of my stipend. Now that I know the area I could do better next time. Just get airbnb 20min-30min away.alot cheaper and still able to enjoy d.c. and get to work without breaking the bank.
  • I worked in the GI department(s) in the hospital. I was hired to work in Pre and Post Op for the GI Procedure dept. I only worked 2 days in Pre Op. The staff would complain if they had to work more than 2 days in a row in Post op. I worked my butt off. They made me park at a different campus and be shuttled over to the hospital. They don't like to use travelers and would not extend my contract even though I received 3 stars (earned by patient's sending a letter to the hospital and mentioning your name). There was never a traveler to achieve this in the past. They are a Magnet hospital and were voted the top 100 hospitals in the nation twice. The system of working is better than some hospital's and the staff in the GI dept. are professionally motivated and are all good nurses. 04/07/2014
  • Housing was approximately 12 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was privately found. Housing was located in city of Alexandria. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. Traffic is horrendous and there road systems are congested. Multiply the miles to your destination times 4 and get an approximation of how long it will take you to get to work. Ex: 4 X 13 = 52 minutes.
  • I worked in the Labor & Delivery department(s) in the hospital. 06/15/2007
  • Housing was approximately 20 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was homestead. Housing was located in city of Chantilly. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 2. 12 LDR rooms. 300 deliveries/month. Only 4-6 nurses on day shift. Very understaffed. Often 3:1 patient ratio.
