  • I worked in the Medical/Oncology department(s) in the hospital. The unit I worked on was busy and had a handful of travelers. Travelers were always floated first. Really liked my coworkers and doctors were friendly as well. The city of Billings itself was ok, but there are lots of cool things to see and do outside of Billings. 10/02/2018
  • Housing was approximately 2 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Private. Housing was located in city of Billings. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4.
  • I worked in the ED department(s) in the hospital. I am currently in the ED dept at St. Vincent as my first assignment and I don't think I could have has a better one. The staff, including doctors, are so friendly and supportive of travelers. The nurse/patient ration is 1:3 and the charting system is Epic. The only downfall I can see is the scheduling. They are currently doing 12 and 10 hour shifts and you could be doing day shift one day and then nights the next. Nothing spectacular about Billings itself. It's an oil refinery town. But, plenty of beautiful areas around close enough to drive to. I would highly recommend this hospital. Especially for first time travelers. 02/20/2017
  • Housing was approximately 10 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Residence Inn. Housing was located in city of Billings. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. This being my first week I am staying at the Residence Inn, which is about 10 miles from the hospital but an easy drive. It's a little pricey, but I plan to look for other housing soon.
  • I worked in the OR department(s) in the hospital. Hospital morale was low in general. Physicians were more than just tempermental. Never seen so many laparoscopic go to an open case in all my life. Very antiquated in some of their operating techniques. High number of permanent staff actively taking drugs while I was there, and bragged about it. Little to no orientation. Major trauma center for most of Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, and S. Dakota except for burns. Staff treated poorly, and very disgruntled. Everything closes down at 5pm, so if you work 12 hour or odd hour shifts be warned. The IHOP is the only 24 hr restaraunt. Parking is very inconvenient. Had my spare tire stolen off my vehicle, and security just laughed and said, "yeah that happens every year right before it starts to snow". Hospital did not offer to reimburse me for replacement tire. Hospital provdide housing is atrocious, I opted to take a housing stipend, and pay rent to live somewhere that there weren't crack-heads roaming around. Only good thing about the assignment was a co-op coffee company named City Brew, they put Starbucks to shame. Would not opt to go there again. Most closed minded thinking state I've ever been to. 12/09/2007
  • Housing was approximately 10 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Fox Meadows. Housing was located in city of Billings. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. Fox Meadows was great. Very nice apartments and staff
  • I worked in the ICU department(s) in the hospital. The hospital has been going through some administration changes and needs to continue so right now staff in ICU is generally not very happy. Majority of physicians and staff treat travelers no different than regular staff. Very enjoyable assignment even with the politics. 08/23/2007
  • Housing was approximately 2 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was staff nurse's house. Housing was located in city of Billings. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. I stayed with one of the staff nurses. This was my own arrangement and I would do it again if I work in Billings.
