  • I worked in the CCU department(s) in the hospital. St. Joseph is considered the 'dirty hospital' by public, definitely not the best. 10/21/2017
  • The name of the housing complex was No housing av.. Housing was located in city of Tucson. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 1. No housing could be found, apartment leases were minimum 1 year due to college students being so close
  • I worked in the MSICU department(s) in the hospital. The overall morale of the hospital staff was low. Most of the staff are travelers. I felt that the hospital sets you up for failure. 11/22/2016
  • Housing was approximately 11 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was veranda at ventana. Housing was located in city of tucson. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. I find my own housing through airbnb.
  • I worked in the Telemetry department(s) in the hospital. Often worked primary with 5 patients. It would be nice to have help with admissions. Also it would be nice if the admissions didn't happen right at change of shift. It would be nice if the scheduler was more friendly. It was a hard assignment. However my coworkers were all great (the travelers) 08/14/2015
  • Housing was approximately 3 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Extended Stay. Housing was located in city of Tucson. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. Avoid the dates of the Gem show. Or plan for housing at least a year ahead. Like if you know you will return to Tucson, start scouting housing asap if you'll be going in January. I had a ball in Tucson!
  • I worked in the TELE department(s) in the hospital. GREAT CORE STAFF 06/15/2007
  • Housing was approximately 8 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was VERANA AT VANTANA. Housing was located in city of TUCSON. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 3. VERY NOISY - MORE SO THEN EXPECTED
  • The most welcoming staff ever! Excellent nurse manager. Very nurse friendly organization. They try very hard to staff our area. Very busy, but satisfying work environment.
  • I worked in the ER department(s) in the hospital. Housing was approximately 6 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was rental house. Housing was located in city of Tucson. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. I am renting a house closeby since my husband and 3 dogs are with me, but other travelers are very happy with the apartments they have. Tucson has many very reasonable housing options.
  • vERY busy ED. Nurse/pt is 5:1 which can be daunting if the nurse is not 100% organized. Newly implemented bedside charting software that is very user friendly. Two eateries in house, one of which is open all night for 2nd and third shifters. Very acceptant of travelers. They have to be because they use a lot of them. Some staff grumbling d/t pt load, but no outright complaining. This is an unrelenting never ending parade of patients. Admission procedures are streamlined and simple. Docs are entrenched but very supportive and good with the nursing staff. If you do not mind working while you are there it is a really good place to work.
