  • I worked in the Med/Surg department(s) in the hospital. It was suppost to be a M/S Tele position, however, I had one day when I had MS Tele pts and that was when I was floated to another floor. The worst workload was dumped on the travelers. Most unfriendly bunch of nurses I believe I have ever worked with. Foreign languages where spoke amongest coworkers making other nurses feel isolated and not included. Facility was dirty looking and enviromental services could use a good supervisor. Poor cleaning methods of the rooms. Even the patients complained about the permanent staff nurses unfriendliness and lack of caring if they understood. 07/09/2008
  • Housing was approximately 12 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was The Missions at Rio Vista. Housing was located in city of San Diego. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 3. the apartment was nice, clean, and roomy. The grounds where kept very clean. So clean that it was very noisy every morning Mon-Friday with the cleaners using leaf blowers for hours on end to keep the pavement free of a few leaves. I felt sorry for those that worked nights and was glad I worked days, however it was quite irritating. The maintenance department has a lot to be desired. Our air conditioner was broke for 3 days before anyone came to even look at it. I had to finally call my recruiter to complain. The office staff very much lack personality and seem to stay out on the sidewalk in front of thier office smoking most of the day. Some of the amenities where nice like the 2 swimming pools, to bad though, the where not heated and stayed unbearably cold. The location was wonderful, approximately 5-10 min from beach, shopping mall and trolley within walking distance.
