  • I worked in the ICU department(s) in the hospital. Very frightening place to work as a competent RN. I left the assignment due to concern over losing my license on a daily basis. Physicians would not round on ICU patients for days and were never available by phone. The incidents of malpractice I saw there in two weeks were staggering. That place is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Because of I can only presume all of the lawsuits they have had, the charting and paperwork is over the top. The beach is nice but not worth the stress of worrying about your nursing license every day you go into work. 06/23/2012
  • Housing was approximately 10 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Mainstay Suites at PGA Village. Housing was located in city of Port St Lucie. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. I stayed at the MainStay in Port St Lucie and it was quite nice for an extended stay. The staff were very accommodating and made the stay very nice for me.
  • I worked in the ICU department(s) in the hospital. Small unit w/ friendly staff; Intensivist was a great teacher; great collaboration with all depts except respiratory. Very poor NIGHT RT staff...unsure, unwilling to call doc, unaware of pending doom! They do not do a lot of invasive monitoring here, but they do get their fair share of critical patients...the worst cases get shipped to their sister hospital up in St. Joeseph/Benton Harbor. 09/21/2008
  • Housing was approximately 10 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was shared room via craigslist. Housing was located in city of South Bend, IN. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. I found my own cheaper housing via craigslist and rented a room rather than my own apartment, but there are lots of private places to get since Niles is only minutes from Notre Dame, located in South Bend, Indiana.
