  • I worked in the Neonatal department(s) in the hospital. Everyone in this hospital has been kind, smiling, and helpful. The people go out of their way to welcome you. Up to date equipment and care. The people within my unit sought me out so they could introduce themselves. They have a history with using travelers. Orientation was adequate. I was there during the EPIC Go-Live month and that transition was smooth in the NICU because they scheduled a 2:1 patient ratio and many helpers per shift. The hospital is beautiful. The downtown area is a rough part of town but everyone commutes in. The outer (northern)suburbs are beautiful. I chose my housing based upon what I wanted near me (entertainment, restaurants, etc.) And my 25 mi commute in is a quick half hour all highway. 11/21/2013
  • Housing was approximately variable mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was variable. Housing was located in city of variable. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. Housing is arranged by your recruiter. Hospital does not offer anything close by due to deterioration of the area. The hospital has gone to great lengths to make hospital property safe for employees. I felt confident with parking and walk into building. I think Henry Ford is one of the nicest companies I have ever worked for as a nurse. I would highly recommend it. The employees are happy people and that alone provides a high rating. Staffing ratios were never an issue in the unit where I worked.
