  • I worked in the Operating Room department(s) in the hospital. Very inefficient , un-organized OR layout and case scheduling. OR management gossips about staff to other staff. I felt like I was working in a 1950s time zone when nurses were not treated with respect and surgeons were treated like Gods. If you take an assignment there, be ready to run your but off thru 2 disorganized Cores, work long hours without breaks, constantly be pushed to hurry up, perform un-necessary documents and forms for anesthesia because they are too lazy and un-reliable to complete it, and be treated with disrespect by management and staff. The majority of their staff are young, inexperienced nurses who have never worked anywhere else, and who have no clue that there are better, more efficient ways to run an OR, and have no idea that nurses are treated much better in other, more progressive areas of the country (especially not the South) 02/06/2014
  • Housing was approximately 6 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Home of a Friend. Housing was located in city of Baton Rouge. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 3. I stayed in a friend's home.
