  • I worked in the PCU department(s) in the hospital. Literally my favorite travel assignment ever. Loved this hospital. The area is wonderful and there is plenty to explore. I found my own housing 01/16/2021
  • Housing was approximately 2 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Ponce de Leon. Housing was located in city of Roanoke. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. Finding my own housing here was easy.
  • I worked in the OR department(s) in the hospital. This hospital abuses travelers... I was never oriented to circulating as they were very short staffed ST wise - then bam I was assigned to circulate a level 1 trauma with no back-up or help. They also require 40 hours a week from the travelers so they creatively schedule, meaning two 16 hour shifts back to back with an 8 or 10 hour shift after. When I told them that I physically could not do those shifts nothing was done. After working a 12- 16 hour shift you are never relieved on time. The staff is friendly but morale is terrible. 08/12/2014
  • Housing was approximately N/A mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was N/A. Housing was located in city of Roanoke. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 3. One good benefit is that the Extended Stay America that is about 5 miles from the hospital offers $39/night to Carillion employees. It is safe and clean
