  • I worked in the Postpartum department(s) in the hospital. The majority of staff is friendly and hard working. It helps if you know any Spanish at all. Staff morale is low and they are overworked. This is a small hospital that is staffed Inadequately, and staff is pretty much expected to pick up extra shifts instead of management hiring more help. Many of the nurses are young without a lot of experience. New nurses and travelers are forced to be charge. There is no hospital cafeteria and equipment is old. South Padre Island, Port Isabel, and Gladys Porter Zoo are the most fun things to do and see. Climate is hot! 09/24/2014
  • Housing was approximately 5 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was La Mansion. Housing was located in city of Brownsville. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. Condition is okay, not great. Close to everything. Feels safe and there is a nice walking trail behind the apartment complex.
