  • I worked in the Post ICU department(s) in the hospital. The unit is suppose to be a Step-down unit but its a mixture of everything! Every day was a challenge because they wanted the travelers to take 9 patients each like the regular staff. Not only was the staff taking 9 patients the acuity of the patients was high which is extremely unsafe! But the manager that interviewed the travelers told us all that 6 patients were our maximum patient load that is what saved us from getting 7-9 patients. The manager was fired while I was there and they never replaced her. It was a horrible assignment. Its sad that they have great staff there; but the staff is not their top priority. They also don't have charge nurses so all the nurses were on their own. The staff was great! If you come to this hospital prepare to be on your own literally! I worked nights. 02/06/2015
  • Housing was approximately 10 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Stonecrest Apartments. Housing was located in city of Gaffney. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. The apartment was nice I had a family over me that was noisy, stomped all the time! I worked nights so I didn't get much sleep when they were home during the day. I had to constantly complain to the office staff. The last four weeks were the best weeks because the family finally stopped stomping.
