  • I worked in the ICUs department(s) in the hospital. I have been to most of the ICUs in this hospital - there are a lot. They have trauma, surgical, neuroscience, medical, medical surgical, and a west ICU (medical overflow). They use NetAccess, which is rare but easy to use. Sometime in the next year they are going to switch to Epic which will be good. I have heard that some of the floors are understaffed and over-ratio'd, but the ICUs are strictly 2:1, or even 1:1 depending on the acuity. The ICU managers really work for the nurses and the patients, and they work with travelers to be flexible with scheduling. The city is fairly large with lots of food options and outdoorsy stuff to do. There is even a cute walking bridge across the river a few blocks from the hospital. 04/18/2017
  • Housing was approximately 12 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was found my own. Housing was located in city of Chattanooga - stayed with a friend. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. The area has a lot of apartment complexes outside of downtown. The commute is not bad at all for 12 hour shift people, and the rent is cheaper.
  • I worked in the 8NW department(s) in the hospital. They are still using paper charting for most of the MD charting and they use 2 separate systems for RN charting and Medication scanning. 05/28/2016
  • Housing was approximately n/a mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was n/a. Housing was located in city of n/a. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 1. n/a
  • I worked in the 3000 medicine department(s) in the hospital. Horribly unsafe assignments. Insulin drips with 5-6 patients. Travelers often placed down multiple hallways, with total assist patients on each. No help from charge nurses. Manager that is very immature and unprofessional. Still using charts, and multiple computer systems that do not communicate with one another. Supplies are lacking, and even basic necessities often have to be ordered. Very inefficient hospital! 12/10/2015
  • Housing was approximately 15 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Used Airbnb. Housing was located in city of Chattanooga. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4.
  • I worked in the IMCU department(s) in the hospital. Staff are very friendly. I have made several new friends on my journey here. The only problem I have is that the layout is confusing, however the hospital is huge! It even has a post office inside the hospital. All in all I really enjoy working here. 11/11/2015
  • Housing was approximately 10 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was N/A. Housing was located in city of Chattanooga . On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 3. I did not stay in company housing. I used hotels which I picked myself.
