  • I worked in the ICU/PCU department(s) in the hospital. The manager will say anything to get you there. 3 of us travelers were told that we would work every other weekend; you will have some input on your schedule ALL Big Lies! Scheduled off 3 weekends in 13 weeks, said that it was the needs of the unit. Also, the contract states ICU, DON'T Be FOOLED, you will be working in the PCU and float to the ICU! The manager instructed the charge nurses to keep staff in the ICU, so they can keep their skills and put the Travelers in the PCU! However, the charge nurses are Excellent. If you don't care about your schedule, working almost every weekend and working in the PCU, even if your contract said ICU, you would be a good fit. But if your contract says critical care, like another traveler, you will be in the PCU. Also, if you agree to anything verbally on the phone, MAKE SURE it is in the Contract, especially if you need certain dates off. Good Luck!! 10/22/2017
