  • I worked in the ICU department(s) in the hospital. The people I worked with were bullies except for maybe a handful that included a few travel nurses like myself. The purpose for the travel nurses is to float and receive 4 to 5 patients on tele and medsurg. They will float you every time you work, doesn't matter as long as they don't have to float their own staff. They don't want to help you with anything, if you ask they will get an attitude so it makes you not want to ask. Most of their break nurses only want to help the people who work here permanently. They only want to gossip, play on their phones, or help their friends. They ignore you when you need help and are very cliquish. I thought maybe it was a cultural thing, but the bottom line is they're just bullies. Even some of the charge nurses are bullies, you would think they would know better. It is a very toxic and uncomfortable climate. I have never experienced anything like this before in my nursing career and I hope that I never do. 03/30/2019
  • Housing was approximately 10 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Dinwiddie Street. Housing was located in city of Downey. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 3. I found my own housing and it was very expensive but was the only thing I could find to get me out of a hotel. Downey is a good area, but it is not cheap.
  • I worked in the ICU department(s) in the hospital. They float you to Tele or Tele/stroke and dump on you all the patients that no one wants: contact patients, total care, or the ones people don't want oh ad don't for get an admission. Kind of the same set up for ICU as well contact or the patient families that are most difficult and no one wants. No cna's at night, no lift team, be prepared to enter all your orders, and call MD at night only for emergencies-- or get an attitude otherwise. They work hard with little and pay well but, this place is not for everyone. Smaller hospital everyone knows each other so change here is not easy the culture of the ICU is not a friendly one (at nights). 08/09/2016
  • Housing was approximately 20 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Found my own housing . Housing was located in city of Culver city. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. Make sure with the older apartments that you check for insulation-- it get hot in the summer months and there is no AC typically.
  • I worked in the 7th department(s) in the hospital. The 7th floor is super busy . The night shift is great. There are no CNA after 11 pm. 12/29/2015
  • Housing was approximately 18 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Private . Housing was located in city of Hollywood . On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 3. Small 1 bedroom
