  • I worked in the OR department(s) in the hospital. Hospital is in a purely suburban area, nothing interesting is super close. The OR staff is incredibly friendly, and the assignments are fair in accordance to the staff skills. However, the OR is understaffed for the amount of cases that come in, and there is a lot of frustration all around due to unorganized upper management. This assignment served me well for time being, but I was more than glad to move on. 01/04/2019
  • Housing was approximately 3 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was n/a. Housing was located in city of Pompton Lakes. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. Did not take housing.
  • I worked in the OR department(s) in the hospital. This is an older community hospital bought out by a big company so it was undergoing changes at the time. Management was still trying to get used to the changes. The computer system was remarkably antiquated and I received 2 days of orientation just to learn the charting alone. Overall the staff was friendly and management was decent. The orientation was very good, but its an old hospital and in dire need of a facelift. 04/26/2016
  • Housing was approximately 12 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was n/a. Housing was located in city of Montclair. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. I took the stipend and found my own housing. It seems this area of NJ is either very nice and expensive, or very ghetto and dangerous depending on the town. That said, NYC is very close by, and there are a decent amount of things to do in your free time. Just do a little research before finding housing, if it seems pretty cheap, its most likely in a bad area.
