  • I worked in the ER department(s) in the hospital. Travellers p.ease be aware of this hospital be for signing up. Please read the article about this hospital bed or signing up. This hospital does not have ur interest at heart they are most about having someone to cover the shift. Thereby no CNA ER TECH, EKG TECH, no TRANSPORTER. You are in your own after that first day of orientation which is done with an incompetent nurse. Travellers be aware there is an article which was published on the Mercy Hospital in Bakersfield please read.   • I worked in the ER department(s) in the hospital. Travelers beware this hospital is the worst ever. Their expectations are very high but yet still have no ancillary staff to assist the nurses. There is barely any privacy for patients in the front end. Patients are treated according to the insurance that they have. The nurses are expected to do everything for their patients. No ancillary staff no help from other nurses because they are so busy taking care of their patients. Always running out of supplies. There are always 6-8 Psych patients holding waiting for transfer, and you are still responsible for them while caring for 3 or 4 other Emergency patients. Nurse are not well trained so most critical patients are given to you with no help. No one cares about your concern. This is a place where you could easily lose your license. Your are expected to float to any other Dignity facilities is there is a shortage at another facility. All the need is a body short staffed every day. Some charge nurse are lazy and offer no assistance even when your overwhelmed, I would never recommend any travel nurse to this facility no I know why they hardly have any staff.   • I worked in the EMERGENCY DEPT department(s) in the hospital. Travellers beware of MERCY HOSPITAL FOLSOM 3 nurses died there 3 years ago from some bacterial infection they contracted on the job. All they care about is having a body to work. They don't care if you are sick on the job and dying. High turnover no staff worried about you clocking in and out on time because they refuse to pay overtime. Sonya the schedule coordinator gives you the worst schedule ever and refuses to make any change. Rooms are not cleaned throughly after a patient leave therefore patients are at risk of contracting all kind of diseases from one to the next.No through evaluation done on patients all they look at is the patients insurance to see how to treat. Its a shame how they treat staff but I guess some have no choice. Would never refer any travel nurse to this facility. Nurses are so afraid on locking out after 7:23pm or am they give you a 1 second report about the patient and they are gone. No ancillary personel to help or assist you're all by yourself doing everything for the patients. Some charge nurses are lazy only want to sit at the desk and look at the copmputer and wouldn't even offer any help. Travellers beware of MERCY HOLSOM FOLSOM stay away. You will regret it. 07/22/2016
