  • I worked in the OR department(s) in the hospital. Staff was overall really friendly, welcoming and helpful, with a few exceptions. The amount of call was outrageous. Management at this hospital is a disaster. They don't staff well and don't care about the staff they manage to retain. 01/03/2019
  • Housing was approximately 20 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Privatee . Housing was located in city of n/a. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4.
  • I worked in the Surgery department(s) in the hospital. The staff were super friendly and helpful... however, the management at this facility is horrible. It is incredibly disorganized and they continue to bleed staff. They need travelers but are also trying to save money by calling some of them off. There is no orientation on the unit at all and the amount of call given to travelers is appalling. The area is beautiful however and fairly inexpensive by California standards. 09/24/2018
  • Housing was approximately 5 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was private . Housing was located in city of Eureka . On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. Found private housing that was inexpensive and furnished
  • I worked in the PCU department(s) in the hospital. They have the most arrogant Dr I have ever worked with. He has being written up a lot but nothing have being or will be done. Very mean to nurses, yes the Scottish one. They worship doctors here. they always want u to go through charge rn first b4 u can call a doctor for an order...Aids are very lazy and all they are required to do is answer call lights...thats if they do. Rn to patient is 4:1, first to float any floor* Manager of the floor is not friendly/approachable. Staff quits alot. They recently just canceled 80% of the travelers due the hiring of lots of new grads dec 2017 12/10/2017
  • Housing was approximately 4 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was House. Housing was located in city of Eureka. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 3. they have a lot of month-month rent here which is awesome. You dont have to sign a year lease. Housing price is reasonable. Furnished goes around $1000-$1800, unfurnished 700-1150
  • I worked in the Ed department(s) in the hospital. Some staff are friendly and helpful but for the most part, the staff will work the travelers to the bone. Had to ask the doc to help me hold a pediatric seizure pt for an iv start as everyone else went to eat at the same time 01/19/2017
  • Housing was approximately 3 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was 706 video dr. Housing was located in city of Eureka. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. 1 bed/bath in a restored Victorian. Walking distance to the waterfront but wouldn't go walking alone at night. A lot of homeless in the area. Fully furnished with a weekly housekeeper and closed garage.
  • I worked in the MedSurg department(s) in the hospital. Horrible old charting system. Often lacked equipment. Aides are useless. Hospitalists are arrogant and refuse to even speak to nurses; you have to write your requests and they address them when they round. Ridiculous. Lots of heroin and meth and marijuana. Travelers get the worst patients. Area is dangerous and cars are frequently broken into. 09/10/2016
  • Housing was approximately 10 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was airbnb. Housing was located in city of Arcata. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 2.
