  • I worked in the CPICU department(s) in the hospital. This was actually the worse experience of my entire nursing career. The staff was not friendly by any means and I was only accepted by travelers and a couple of actual staff members. I was treated poorly from the second I hit the floor right up to the day I left. Their management is a joke with extremely poor communication. I was left hanging during an emergency situation on my second night on my own and I didn’t know how to pavge the doctor, then was treated like an idiot and like I was incompetent because of that , even though I asked and I got the typical eye roll and sigh. The charge nurse ran in and knew nothing about the patient or the situation and exacerbated the issue. Not only did she not help, but she chose to berate me and then continued on with a completely inappropriate and unprofessional conversation on her first impression of me, which was completely incorrect, and even though I reported it, nothing was done except promoting her. I witnessed a HIPAA violation with a staff member getting into her family members chart and also trying to control treatment when she was not qualified by any means to even make suggestions, this person also physically assaulted another nurse who cared for her family member “jokingly”, which wasn’t reported, and at the end of the day, after a nice screaming match between me, her and my charge, they let me finish my shifts that week and then cancelled me for multiple inaccurate reasons and left me hanging with no job. The majority of travelers I spoke with st the time were not going to extend because they didn’t like the unit and the way staff treated them. This wasn’t isolated to just this unit, other travelers on other units were treated the same. I would not recommend this facility unless there’s been major changes with staff and management. 10/07/2018
  • Housing was approximately 5 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Charleston Capitol Hotel. Housing was located in city of Charleston . On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. I took my stipend and stayed at hotels while I was there, this particular hotel was clean, friendly staff, excellent discount for travelers, and they worked with night shift for different check in times so they didn’t have to pay for extra nights just to sleep on their last shift. Excellent breakfast as well,

  • Housing was approximately 3 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was NA. Housing was located in city of Charleston. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 1. Private residence
  • I worked in the Imc department(s) in the hospital. The staff welcomes new travelers as long as you don't stay longer then 13 weeks. Bc then they turn on you. Lots to restaurants , lots to chose from. Unless you like driving a long way. There is nothing to do. But if you like the long drives on w/o ding roads then hiking is abundant. 09/09/2017
