  • I worked in the ICU department(s) in the hospital. This is for the Mulenburgh campus. I worked in the only ICU. They have EPIC, but the system (all floors) makes you do a full assessment every 4hrs. No copy and paste. I purposly work nights to not have to deal with admin. The nurse manager comes in every morning at 4am going through charts looking for SCD and PNA vacc documentation (even if they are 26 y/o). She's crazy about huddle to the point where she limited the number of RNs in an actual code to 3 so that the others could go to huddle. She also told the resident who was getting ready to put a CVL in my BIPAP pt with SBP 63 after 3L that she would have to wait until after huddle to do it so that she could do huddle. She's crazy! The dayshift travelers say she is downright awful to them with yelling and degrading. There is a mass exodus of staff nurses leaving because of her, which is why they are short staffed. If you can deal with that the actual bedside staff is awesome and the patients aren't that high of an acuity.Oh and they have an awful insulin drip protocol. I know I;ve used awful a lot, but if the manager were to leave it would be more bearable. one other highliht is that travelers don't float. 11/24/2017
  • Housing was approximately 0.7 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was ESA. Housing was located in city of Bethlehem. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 2. The ESA was quite enough to sleep during the day even being 3 mins from Lehigh Valley Airport. Typical ESA
