  • I worked in the ER department(s) in the hospital. This is a lvl 3 trauma center currently attempting to attain level 2 status. It's an extremely busy ED and they see a lot of very sick patients. Gotta say, the staff made this place rock! They're fantastic and really work as a team. As a traveler, you will get to work the trauma rooms and critical care aide. On night shifts, the average nurse/pt ratio is 1:3. They have an independant psych pod where each pt is usuLly monitored 1:1 by trained psych techs..amazing! Main drawback to this facility is it's been bought by HCA and they're transitioning over. Despite that, would recommend this hospital. As far as the area, it's sketchy. Never walk out alone at night by yourself. My company provided my housing approx 0.5 mi from the hospital. While at our "safe", gated apartment, our window was busted out and stuff stolen. Also witnessed many drug deals just outside our doors. Just be aware. 08/19/2018
  • Housing was approximately 0.5 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Northbrooke Apts. Housing was located in city of Houston. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 2. Awful place to live. Dangerous. No security cameras. Trash everywhere. Just don't do it.
