  • I worked in the Emergency department(s) in the hospital. This was my favorite contract in 3.5 years. It's apparently the only Magnet hospital in New England. It's small enough of a hospital to get your hands dirty with critical access medicine but big enough to have some resources or at least close (ish) access to tertiary care. Everything gets shipped to Albany or Westchester NY for burns (3hours away). Always short on EMS for transports, RNs occasionally transport. Staff are very accepting, management is very flexible. They were gracious and sent me home early on orientation because I broke a fever and felt like death. I extended my contract. It's right on the Appalachian trail with lots of additional hikes. Everything like what you see in the postcards lol. Meditech charting leaves some to be desired but simple enough. I would 100% go back here. 02/13/2019
  • Housing was approximately 1 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Nathaniel Court. Housing was located in city of Bennington, VT. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. I found an AirBnb, 2 story townhouse with an awesome landlady. She met me with groceries, flowers, and beer when I moved in! My favorite private (like not a complex nor company housing) housing. She is planning on selling, maybe, but the complex is open to renters.
