  • I worked in the Emergency/ICU department(s) in the hospital. Older facility, newer one is being built opening in 2009. Awesome manager in ED!Very traveler friendly. 03/04/2008
  • Housing was approximately 1/4 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Signorelli Apt.. Housing was located in city of Lompoc. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. Very close, 2 bedroom townhouses wirh double garage great for two travelers.
  • This rating is geared toward the OB department since I havent' worked the others. There are a lot of travelers here and most seem to like the hospital and come back for multiple extensions. The nurses here work very hard at times and expect the travelers to do the same. They expect you to know your job and they are busy enough that they need you to know your job. They are willing to pitch in and help if they are free from their own responsibilities. It is a small OB unit that does between 30-60 deliveries a month. Being small there are some things that you will have to do that are not expected in large facilities, like some cleaning at times. If you have done any rural nursing none of this will be a surprise to you, and you should fit in well. The Doc's as a general rule are very nice and easy to work with.
  • I worked in the OB department(s) in the hospital. Housing was approximately 2 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Windscape Village. Housing was located in city of Lompoc. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. These are well kept units. It's clean, but nothing fancy. No A/C, but fans are in them. There are 2 brand new workout rooms with brand new high quality equipment. There are 2 pools and 2 hot tubs. Each unit has a deck area or patio. Only drawback I've found is that the bathroom of the one bedroom units are in the bedroom. If you work nights and travel with family or a partner it can be a problem when you're trying to sleep. The rental/managers office will also accept packages and mail for you so they don't sit out on your porch or get returned which I find is very nice. Other than the bathroom being in the bedroom I have no complaints really. Requested to stay here this second time returning. Would request to stay here again. It's also very close to shopping. Wal Mart mall right down the block, banking there too. Theater within walking distance as well as several restaurants and fast food joints.
