  • I worked in the NICU department(s) in the hospital. The hospital has a clause where they can cancel you up to twice every 2 weeks. I was assured that this policy was rarely used, however the other 2 travelers already on the unit stated they were cancelled once a week for their entire contact. On the upside when you first arrived they are very friendly and orientation is an entire week. You feel as if the environment is going to be great. A perk is that they offer even Travelers free continuing education classes including ACLs BLS and NRP and Pals. Unfortunately when you get to the unit it is disorganized you get to broken shifts for training. I reciebed a partial day of training day one, and they sent my trainer home early my second day. I was scolded that I didn't have all of my paperwork completed yet this orientation packet was not given to me until my third day which is when I was supposed to be on my own period very disorganized. The staff make every attempt to try to be nice however they are disgruntled because they too are cancelled once a week and are confused why Travellers are even in their facility. This went on for about a month to which seven more Travellers were supposed to start the assignment. We complain to our agency who complained to the administrator who eventually cancelled all of our contracts and left us high and dry. I do not recommend at all Saddleback Memorial. On the flip side I tried to obtain an additional contract because I did enjoy the area period ocean rentals out of Dana Point is exceptional offering short-term rentals specifically geared towards TurnKey ready housing. It is a bit pricey so you may want to split the rent. 05/04/2017
  • Housing was approximately 25 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Oceanrentals. Housing was located in city of Dana point. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. Oceanrentals is run by one individual. He owns several properties around the area so you're sure to find a place that you like. He offers short-term leases however the drawback is you have to pay for all three months up front. All new renovated Apartments new appliances television Wi-Fi towels Linens even beach chairs and beach towels, a hairdryer, iron ironing board even cooler. Everything that you would need for a kitchen including spices. All you have to buy are groceries and toiletries. There is a laundry room which is coin operated within the building.
  • I worked in the ICU (neuro) department(s) in the hospital. This hospital was GREAT! Lots of travelers come here and end up staying permanently. It happened twice while I was there! Nurses are great, friendly, and there is always a Dr and a mid-level on staff even at night! I adored Boise and met so many great people! So much to see and do not just in Boise but if you're willing to make road trips, in all of Idaho/Montana! Also only four hours from the Tetons! 02/19/2017
