  • I worked in the Med/Surg/Telemetry department(s) in the hospital. I started mid January 2021, you only get 1 day of orientation. The charting system is Medihost, which is very archaic, it's like an advanced excel sheet. This is a for-profit hospital. The hospital was mainly 90% travelers. This hospital puts money towards the wrong things. They have great IV start kits, but they don't have seizure pads for the beds. The beds are older than me and are all different in each room. The hospital smells like sewer, maintenance said they have been having sewer issues for the past 5 years. Charting takes up a lot of time, it is not user friendly. I had up to 6 patients on med surg and tele. The nurse techs have like 15 patients. This place uses vocera. 04/01/2021
  • Housing was approximately 5 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was DJ's RV Park. Housing was located in city of Lake Havasu. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. We stayed in space 69 at DJ's RV park and it was perfect. Everything is 10 minutes away in this town.
  • I worked in the tele department(s) in the hospital. was on tele/300 west. The area is amazing and I would come back for the location, but this hospital is a hot mess. The worst I've been to, but definitely could be worse. Doable for 13 weeks.... The manager is passive aggressive but not bad and will work with you regarding the schedule. Was told it was self scheduling but their archaic system didn't work for travelers, so I received a schedule. Was told it was every other weekend (sat/sun) but was scheduled for about 10 of the 13 sundays. Techs are great. Staffing was always a challenge. Ratio should have been 5:1 but often 6:1 which is too much. Patients aren't that sick, but 6 patients is way too many tasks for one nurse to complete and is unsafe. The charting system is the absolute worst part of the job other than patient ratios. It's medhost which is from the dinosaur era. So inefficient and frustrating and not user friendly. Lots of negatives but the beautiful area and cool staff almost outweigh the sketchiness of the hospital. One hospitalist at night that is either awesome, or rude bc they too are overworked. Medicine at this hospital is sketch and I definitely wouldn't want to be a patient here..... But, could be worse.... 02/21/2020

  • I worked in the ICU department(s) in the hospital. Managers were very kind and helpful. Coworkers were absolutely awesome and very helpful. Manager responded very quickly to text messages etc. Safe surrounding neighborhoods. Beautiful area for hiking and biking. Very outdated equipment. 06/12/2018
  • Housing was approximately .5 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Vista del Sol. Housing was located in city of Lake Havasu. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. Very safe community to live in. Has a pool to relax by. Super close to shops , cafes and restaurants.
  • I worked in the Telemetry department(s) in the hospital. I would not recommend this facility to other travelers, it was tolerable at best. Nurse to patient ratios were awful, acuity was not considered in assignments, and high fall risk patients were not located close to the desk. It is okay for 3 months if you’re prepared to run and be barely able to safely care for your patients. 10/21/2017
  • Housing was approximately 5 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was N/a. Housing was located in city of Lake Havasu City. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. I found my own housing.
  • I worked in the icu department(s) in the hospital. 1/2 day orientation not enough 04/11/2017
  • Housing was approximately 1 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was The Sands. Housing was located in city of Lake Havasu. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 3. noise level at night and around pool
  • I worked in the ICU department(s) in the hospital. The ICU director is terrible. She's rarely around and when she is she's very unapproachable. She has no regard for your feelings. She treats her staff like they're recyclable. Most of them have no loyalty towards the hospital anymore. The team lead is run ragged doing manager and educator work yet the director refuses to give her that title. She also refuses to hire new staff even though they're chronically understaffed. The area is beautiful but the hospital is very unpleasant and unsafe. 05/04/2016
  • Housing was approximately 4 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was I found a condo on Craigslist . Housing was located in city of Lake Havasu. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 3. I would take housing through your company. Everyone I know has gotten exceptional housing from their company here. No extended stays.
  • I worked in the ER department(s) in the hospital. Very understaffed. I had 5 very busy sick patients every day, with no regard to acuity. Other nurses were too busy in their rooms to help each other. Staff didn't help travelers very much. 04/18/2016
  • Housing was approximately 6 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was RV Park. Housing was located in city of Lake Havasu. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5.
  • I worked in the IMC department(s) in the hospital. My husband and Myself worked on the same unit. The unit manager was friendly and kind, but her boss was not. The facility expects way too much from all staff. The patients are not the main focus as exhibited by the hospital does not supply sitters for confused or high fall risk customers. There is not enough working equipment, and supplies are cheap. The permanent staff are basically working there because there is not any where else close by to work. Other departments are not friendly, except pharmacy, they always answered our calls and addressed our needs quickly. We had worked here previously and had a very pleasant experience and we're excited to be going back, this was so diasappointing to have had a bad experience here. Also of note the computer system frequently was down and we had to do paper charting. The double check on high risk medications was very bad, you just put someone else's name in, they never looked at what was drawn up. Very unsafe! The patients were overall happy with the facility and travelled quite a ways to come here. 11/21/2015
  • Housing was approximately 1.5 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was We RV and stayed at SAMs beachcomber. Housing was located in city of Lake Havasu City. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. Campground is under new management and is being upgraded, all staff were very pleasant.
  • I worked in the IMC department(s) in the hospital. Run! Chronic understaffing. Rarely a CNA on the floor, expected to care for 4 acutely ill IMC patients or 6 med/tele patients on that unit with no aide. Med surg floor with 42 patients and only 1-2 aides if at all. For profit hospital, they care only about the bottom line. Inadequate supplies to do your job. Nursing staff very nice but overworked and intimidated. 02/02/2013
  • Housing was approximately 1.5 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Vista del Lago. Housing was located in city of Lake Havasu City. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4.
