  • I worked in the Med/Surg department(s) in the hospital. The staff were very nice but the ratios were awful. The orientation to the hospital took 8 hours and then I was expected to handle my own group. Not a fan of that when it was my first assignment. Things could have gone a lot smoother if I had had longer orientation. 05/17/2016
  • Housing was approximately 10 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Extended Stay America. Housing was located in city of Fredericksburg. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. Coin operated laundry, grill available for people to use.
  • I worked in the Emergency department(s) in the hospital. THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL HOSPITALS I HAVE EVER SEEN WITH THE WORST ER STAFF! They give you 4 hours of orientation on the unit (mine was with a new employee and new graduate) which typically would be fine IF: 1. you have orientation and access to the charting system 2. access to the Pyxis 3. badge access to medication and supply rooms None of which were provided to me during my 4 hours of orientation. So on my first shift I was given 5 patients with no real knowledge of how the department functions. Also the staff is HORRIBLE to travelers. They will try and take advantage of you and give you a full difficult load while they have no patients. They will only help if you ask repeatedly, even though they have nothing to do since the travelers have the full loads. Stay away from this ER! 11/17/2014
  • Housing was approximately 1 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Station's Square at Cosner's Corner. Housing was located in city of Fredericksburg. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. The complex was new and beautiful. Less than 1 mile from the hospital. Pet friendly. Nice Pool and clubhouse. Very safe and gated. Close to shopping and restaurants. Expensive, but worth no commute.
