  • I worked in the 2N/2C department(s) in the hospital. Do NOT work at this hospital. Management is incompetent and does not care about their employees or patients. They often are understaffed and have unsafe conditions for their patients. You will find that basic items like needles, NS bags, and linen are not stocked so you have to run around looking for it. I worked on 2N/2C and the director/manager are AWFUL and unprofessional. They will throw their travel nurses under the bus and put you on the HCA Do Not Use list, and cancel your contract for trivial complaints. Patient ratios are unsafe (7-1), and I’ve had incidents where patients have been sent up from the ED with a GCS of 3, blood glucose <20, active new onset chest pain etc. the hospital itself is absolute garbage, disorganized and honestly even the locals acknowledge how terrible it is. Please, PLEASE do not work here. You’ve been warned. 03/31/2018
  • Housing was approximately 30 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Lived with a college friend. Housing was located in city of West palm beach. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 5. Housing in the area isn’t hard to find. I stayed with a college friend so 5/5 on the housing. Also Delray Beach Atlantic Ave is nice as well
  • I worked in the ER department(s) in the hospital. I am an experienced ER nurse and I have never been in such a horrible ER environment. This hospital puts your nursing license at risk every single day with the nurse to patient ratio and absolutely no help. The nurses do everything and I mean everything with no help. I was told it was a 34 bed ER with 4:1 ratio, total lie. It is a 34 bed ER with 36 hallway beds which are utilized every day all day long making it a 70 bed ER. Day charge nurse does not like travel nurses and gives horrible assignments and no teamwork at all. Do not, I repeat DO NOT take an assignment at this hospital. I have also never seen so many travelers in one hospital, that say a lot right there. Save yourself misery stay away from JFK. 06/20/2016
  • Housing was approximately 4 mile(s) from the hospital. The name of the housing complex was Savannah Lakes. Housing was located in city of Boynton Beach. On a scale from 1 to 5, I would rate it a 4. nice lake to walk around and for me, which was very important had a really nice area for dogs to run and play in off leash and great place to walk around and nice neighbors
  • I worked in the L/D department(s) in the hospital. This hospital is UNSAFE! They do not follow AWHONN protocols. They run epidurals through IV pumps! They do not lock up the epidural narcotic it is accessible to anyone in the room. They do not waste with unused epidural medications! YOU push your pt. in abed to a DELIVERY ROOM!!! You must still watch your other pt.'s when pushing with a complete pt. This hospital is a Sentinel event away from people losing their license! GO ANYWHERE ELSE, it is not worth the risks in the L/D department, staffing is unsafe, Mgmt. is clueless and straight up rude! You have been warned... 04/24/2015
